I love everything about this picture. The bedding, the side table, the bed itself. I even love that dirty, wrinkled burlap sack hanging on the wall. Say whaaaaaa???? A dirty sack on the wall? Let's look again:
Well, as I was digging out from under some clutter last week I remembered, "Hey, I have some dirty, wrinkled burlap sacks!" And I might just be able to hang them haphazardly on the wall too! And voila! The easiest PB knock-off. Ever. In the history of the universe.
Yep, there's another old sack, wrapped around a pillow, dreaming of its future as an actual pillow. Poor, sad sack. |
I found these coffee bean sacks sold by weight at a fabric clearance store several months ago. I didn't pay more than $8-10 for 4 of them--and they even came with a few free coffee beans in the bottom. The softer ones are destined to become pillows, and thanks to PB, now I know what to do with the rough-textured ones too. Coffee, anyone?

ReplyDeleteHow cute! I would love to find sacks like that!
ReplyDeleteLove it! Were did you find your sacks? I love to hear how people find these things I never get lucky enough to find any:)
ReplyDeleteAwesome knockoff! I'm so jealous that you were able to find sacks like that. I haven't been able to find any, and the ones on Etsy and Ebay are outrageously priced. You scored! I just signed up to be your newest follower, I'm a new blogger. I'd love if you'd stop by for a visit and maybe return the favor!
ReplyDeleteSeveral of you asked where I found these sacks--they were at Allen's Foam & Fabric Outlet in Fletcher, NC. I suggest looking for the most dingy, run-down looking fabric store you can find! Places like this are great for cheap finds as long as you don't mind digging.
ReplyDeleteI am on the hunt for some fabric like these! I just love the look of it. Thanks for coming and linking up to Fantastic Friday, I hope you come back and link up again this week!
