Sunday Funnies: Slightly Irreverent Easter Edition

Happy Easter, Dear Sweet Readers!

Has anyone seen this chicken at Hallmark?

Photo: Hallmark

She sings a song and lays plastic Easter eggs.  My boys thought it was hilarious when the cashier showed them, and of course begged for her to do it again, and again, and again.  Just as we were getting ready to leave my older son yelled out, "That chicken is shedding eggs!"  Except he pronounces his "e" like an "i."

Once again: "That chicken is shidding eggs!"

Yeah, died laughing.

Oh, how I love Easter.  It is perhaps my favorite holiday.  But...I haven't posted much this week because I don't really decorate for Easter.  I don't do a lot of cute Easter projects with the kids, or make a big deal out of the Easter bunny.  What I try and do (especially today) is remember our Savior, whose resurrection promises new life to all who follow Him.  I am floored by His amazing love, and my prayer is that today you will feel it too.  Love y'all.

More Mantel Madness

Hey friends!  Thanks for your sweet feedback on my Spring mantel!  It is a fun one, and I am still loving it...and I had to share this update with you.  My sweet cousin, Naomi, used my mantel as her inspiration and created a beautiful and thrifty vignette of her own.

Isn't it awesome?  This girl is probably the sweetest person ever, and obviously has some mad decorating skills too.  Naomi, you gotta tell us how you made your "M" artwork!  It's adorable.  Anyway, I love how she used some of the same elements I used (pops of orange and green, books, personalized artwork) but it still reflects her style and her family.  Love!
